WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- They were outshot 24-6. They allowed 14 shots in the second half. But Ana Mora was up to the challenge and the Lady Miners got a key road win despite the lopsided numbers that weren't in their favor.

Mora made 13 saves for UMR -- seven in the second half -- as the Lady Miners stunned Central Missouri State 1-0 Sunday. The win ends a three-game winless streak for UMR and improved its record to 3-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the MIAA (seven points). CMSU lost for the first time in conference play and is 5-4 overall.

The Lady Miners got the only goal of the game at the 15:47 mark when Kacey Morris scored on a head ball after a throw-in by Barb Porter. From there, the Lady Miners had to hold off Central's onslaught, as the Jennies outshot UMR 10-2 in the first half and 14-4 in the second.

The Jennies, however, had to finish the game with just 10 players as Jessica Goedeker received a red card for a second yellow card with 13:39 to play.

UMR will return home to face Missouri-St. Louis Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the UMR Soccer Complex.
