ROLLA, Mo. -- Greg Naslund scored three times as the Miners posted their highest goal output of the season Wednesday night in a 6-0 victory over Southwest Baptist at the UMR Soccer Complex.

After a sluggish start, which included an SBU goal that was waved off due to a hand ball prior to the shot, the Miners grabbed the lead when Aaron Ogorzalek headed in John McQueary's corner kick at the 8:11 mark of the first half.

UMR (5-3-1) used another head ball for its second goal, this time by Mark Nammari off of Jeff Leonard's free kick at 28:35. Naslund then closed the scoring in the first half when he rebounded his own shot for a goal at 37:23.

Naslund scored for the second time on a penalty kick at 63:15, then E.J. Klapperich scored the Miners' third goal off a head ball, as he coverted a crossing pass from McQueary at 77:41. Naslund completed his hat trick with a goal with just 1:08 to play.

The Miners used three goalkeepers in the game. Todd Wilfling played in the first half, while Dan Larson and Quentin Gehring split the final 45 minutes of play. The trio extended the Miners' string of scoreless play in regulation time to five games. The Miners have allowed just one goal in the last five contests, which came in overtime in a Sept. 26 loss to Missouri-St. Louis.

Southwest Baptist fell to 3-8 with the loss.

UMR will face Southwestern Oklahoma State Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Wichita Falls, Texas in the first of two games the Miners will play over the weekend in Texas. UMR will also take on host Midwestern State Sunday.
