RENSSALAER, Ind. -- Missouri-Rolla scored four consecutive goals after falling behind 2-0 and went on to post a 4-3 season-opening victory Saturday over host St. Joseph's College.

The Pumas (0-1) grabbed the lead with a pair of tallies in the first 18 minutes of play, but the Miners (1-0) drew even on goals by John McQueary and freshman Luke Enna before the end of the first half. UMR took the lead for good nearly 12 minutes into the second half when E.J. Klapperich converted a crossing pass from McQueary.

Mark Nammari became the third Miner freshman to score in the game when he made the score 4-2 with a goal at the 73:12 mark. St. Joseph's got to within a goal when Joe Burns scored with 6:13 to play, but the Miners held off the Pumas' efforts to tie the game.

Todd Wilfling made three saves in goal for UMR.

The Miners return to action Sept. 1 with their home opener against Southern Indiana at the UMR Soccer Complex. Game time will be 1 p.m.
