Drs. Bone and Stoffer with Dr. Blum (Chair Polymer Division, ACS)

On September 14, 1999, Drs. James O. Stofer and Terry Bone were awarded a Certificate of Merit from The South-Central Missouri Section of the American Chemical Society for their research resulting in the first reported Polymerizations in Microemulsions. This pioneering work was reported in the Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, Volume 1, p 37-54, 1980 and Volume 1 p393-412, 1980.
The award was part of a Global Salute to Polymers, initiated by the American Chemical Society.
