To: Regional Science Educators
From: Jyoti Malhotra and Loretta Wallis

We invite you to experience a wonderful opportunity that has been made possible through the support of the American Chemical Society (ACS), Brewer Science and Missouri S&T. As a result, we will conduct a one-day workshop for science teachers and their selected students in our region. Each teacher is encouraged to bring one interested and talented student along for the day.

The purpose of the daylong workshop is to encourage teachers to host chemistry-related workshops and increase student interest in chemistry careers for regional students in grades 9 through 12. The workshop will be held at Brewer Science on June 3, 2009, and will "coach the coach" to inspire our next generation of chemists.

To accommodate your schedule, we selected June 3rd 2009, for conducting the workshop.

The workshop will focus on:

Attendees will leave the workshop with ideas to share with their students and a reference book sharing the tips for conducting chemistry activities and techniques in addition to those presented at our workshop.

We invite you to reserve this date so that you can be a part of this wonderful opportunity to encourage students and grow interest in the sciences. Your active participation will make this workshop a great success.

Please RSVP by May 22, 2009 by contacting Loretta Wallis at 573 364-0300 ext 1357 or via e-mail at mwallis@brewerscience.com.
