Dr. Elmore earned his Ph.D. at the University of Arizona and has
a distinguished career in environmental and geological consulting
with companies such as Woodward Clyde and URS Greiner. Dr. Elmore
has been an Adjunct Professor at UMR for some time and now has joined
the faculty full time as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Elmore's areas
of expertise include groundwater remediation, groundwater circulation
well technologies, and environmental geological engineering. He
is teaching courses on Risk Assessment, Subsurface Exploration and
also teaches the Senior Capstone Design Course.

Dr. Elmore explaining drilling and installation of a water well
at an orphanage in Lemoa, Guatemala, during March, 2002. Dr. Elmore,
his wife Cecilia, and UMR student Erin Sommers spent spring break
working with well drillers to find safe, potable water for the orphanage.
The effort was a success!
